Omschrijving
Inleiding
PARKAANLEG uit XXa, deel uitmakend van het ziekenhuiscomplex Duin en Bosch. Bij de inrichting van het ziekenhuisterrein bleef het bestaande duinlandschap grotendeels gehandhaafd, waarbij de schrale begroeiïng echter plaats maakte voor bosaanplant. Het bindende element in de aanleg vormde de slingerende padenstructuur die van het duin een park maakte in Engelse landschapsstijl. Door verdichting en nieuwbouw is de oorspronkelijke parkaanleg en padenstructuur alleen ten zuidoosten van het administratiegebouw nog goed herkenbaar. De vijverpartij vóór het administratiegebouw dateert uit de periode 1946-1959.
Omschrijving
Eén van de hoofdelementen in de parkaanleg vóór het administratiegebouw is het longvormige middenterrein dat grotendeels bebost is en omgeven wordt door gebogen wegen. Van de laatste wordt de oostelijke (en noordelijke) weg gevormd door de slingerende hoofdweg die vanaf de toegang van het ziekenhuisterrein voert tot voorlangs het administratiegebouw en zich vervolgens in een grote boog voortzet in noordelijke richting. Voor het administratiegebouw ligt een niervormige waterpartij met reliëf. Naast slingerende paden, enkele lanen met laanbeplanting. Een ander structurerend element in de parkaanleg is het ten oosten van de hoofdweg gelegen voormalige tramtracé uit 1913. Het terrein tussen de hoofdweg en het tramtracé is bebost.
Waardering
De oorspronkelijke parkaanleg is van algemeen belang als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het ziekenhuiscomplex Duin en Bosch. Vanwege de aanleg in landschapsstijl met slingerende paden en lanen en een niervormige waterpartij, gebruikmakend van de natuurlijke omstandigheden van het duinlandschap. Vanwege de relatie tussen de bebouwing en de groenaanleg.
